# How to Schedule a Maintenance Visit

Set, change, or clear the arrival window on an open request.

Set the arrival window on an open request. The resident gets an email whenever you save, change, or clear it.

## Before you start

- Sign in as a landlord.

- The request has to be open. Visit controls are hidden once the status is **Completed** or **Canceled**.

- You can save a window before the resident has said whether you may enter. If they've answered, their choice shows under the buttons.

## Steps

1. Go to **Maintenance**.

2. On the request, select the pencil (**View/Edit**).

3. Under **Visit**, pick a start and end time. Times use your device's time zone, and the hint under the picker names it.

4. Select **SAVE VISIT**.

You'll see **Visit saved. The resident was told.** The status changes to **Scheduled** when that move is allowed.

If a visit is already set, it appears as **Scheduled:** above the picker. Change the times and select **SAVE VISIT** again to update it, and the resident is told about the change.

## Clear a visit

1. Open **View/Edit** on the request.

2. Under **Visit**, select **CLEAR VISIT**.

**CLEAR VISIT** only appears when a visit is saved. The resident is told the visit was cleared.

## What the resident has told you

Under the buttons you'll see:

- **Permission to enter**, which is **Yes**, **No, the resident will be home**, or **Not answered yet**.

- **Access notes**, if the resident left any.

You can't set their permission from this screen. Residents answer on their own request.
