# Can I verify my bank account with micro-deposits?

PayRent verifies bank accounts through your bank login, not trial deposits.

No. PayRent verifies bank accounts by having you log in to your bank through a secure connection (Plaid). There's no place to enter a micro-deposit amount or code.

## Received a $0.01 deposit from us?

For a short time, a bug let some customers enter bank details by hand, which triggered a small test deposit. That bug is fixed. You can ignore the deposit and its code. Connect your account through your bank login instead.

## Connect your bank

Follow Setting Up a Bank Account for PayRent. You'll pick your bank, log in, and choose the checking or savings account to use. PayRent never sees or stores your bank login.

## If your bank isn't listed or won't connect

- Make sure your PayRent profile has a valid 10-digit phone number.

- Try a checking or savings account at another bank.

- Renters can also pay with a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card, if your landlord accepts cards.
